SANY SR285R helps India Bangalore subway project

Apr 26, 2022

More than 10 Sany rotary drilling rigs stand tall on the 2A project line of the Bangalore subway, the third largest city in India, and the busy and orderly scene has formed a beautiful scenery. The project has a total length of about 18 kilometers and runs along the Outer Ring Road (ORR) between KR Puram and the Central Silk Bureau, with a total of 13 stations, mainly elevated lines. When completed, the line will greatly ease the city's traffic congestion and help Bangalore become a more livable and sustainable city.

The Bengaluru subway pile foundation project is recognized as the most challenging pile construction project in India. The pile diameter is 1.2~1.6 meters, the average pile depth is 20 meters, and the stratum changes frequently. The geological conditions are very complex, such as rock, composite strata with soft upper and lower hard layers, sandy soil and landfill. As an important foundation project of the elevated, the quality of the pile foundation directly determines the durability, safety and service life of the line. In order to ensure the progress of the project, the project party entered more than 10 Sany star models SR285R at one time, precisely because of the hard power of this model!

SR285R has won the "TOP50" gold award product in the market performance. It has large torque and pressure, high rock breaking efficiency, and flexible and convenient operation. The project site adopts the stratum sand bucket, auger and barrel drill to drill together. It takes about 17 hours for a single hole to drill. The rock entry efficiency far exceeds the project party's psychological expectations, and the customer is full of praise for the construction performance.
